On Tuesday 18 June, a team of supporters, staff and volunteers will be taking on this year’s London Legal Walk for IPSEA. Our team will be raising essential funds for our advice and support services. 

Walkers in our team are aiming to raise at least £50 each to support children and young people with SEND, and every penny raised will go to IPSEA.

For 20 years, the London Legal Walk has been bringing together the legal community to stand up for frontline free legal advice services. The route is around 10km in picturesque central London. Over 10,000 people from over 700 teams across the legal world will be attending the walk and street party, supporting a variety of causes.

All walkers in our team will receive a brilliant blue IPSEA t-shirt on the day. Please note that you must register via the link below to join Team IPSEA for the walk.

The route

We’ll be taking on the 10km Parks Route through some of London’s most beautiful parks. There are also two shorter routes available. The Strand Route is 3.5km in length, and fully accessible, devised by the Disability Justice Project. The Lincoln’s Inn Fields route is 1.32km in length. We will be starting the walk from Carey Street, London at around 5pm (exact time and meeting point to be decided).

This year we’re aiming to raise £5,000 to support our work helping and empowering families across England. 

All children and young people with SEND have a legal right to an education that meets their individual needs. But many tens of thousands of children and young people are not getting the support they are legally entitled to. 

At IPSEA, we are here to change that. 

Providing the right educational support for children and young people with SEND is life-changing. That is why our work at IPSEA – advising and empowering families, providing free casework support and ensuring that the rights of children and young people with SEND are upheld – is absolutely critical.
