SEND Improvement Plan: what you need to know

In March 2022, the Government published its long-awaited SEND Review in the form of a green paper, setting out proposals for reforms to the way the SEND system works.

On 2 March 2023, the Department for Education then published a SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan, as the latest stage of the Government’s SEND Review. The Improvement Plan sets out how the Department for Education intends to proceed with the proposed changes in the green paper.
