This training covers: An introduction to SEND law- Key legal definitions- College duties under the Children and Families Act 2014- An introduction to Education Health and Care (EHC) plans Naming a college in an EHC plan- Requesting a college- The duty to consult- The duty to admit EHC plan annual reviews- The role of the local authority- The role of the college- Outcomes of the annual review process By the end of the training, attendees will have a sound understanding of the framework of SEND law and the legal obligations colleges have towards children and young people with SEND.
