Team IPSEA gets ready to run the Royal parks Half Marathon 2025 26 September 2025 On Sunday 12 October, a fantastic team of IPSEA runners will take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon, one of the UK’s most iconic running events. Covering 13.1 miles through central London, the route passes through four of the capital’s Royal Parks - Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens - as well as many of London’s best-known landmarks. This year’s race will bring thousands of runners and supporters together in the heart of London. For Team IPSEA, it’s not just a chance to take part in a memorable event, but also an opportunity to raise vital funds so we can continue providing free legal information, advice and support to families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Why our runners are taking part Each of our runners has their own personal reason for supporting IPSEA: "I’m a trustee for the Charity and have been working for a few years to support young people and adults with special educational needs and learning disabilities. It is such a big issue and growing in prominence all the time. The charity makes an outstanding and essential contribution to people navigating their legal rights in this area and so needs all the help it can get. I’ll even run in the rain but here’s hoping we have a lovely dry day!" ~ Richard King, IPSEA Trustee Support Richard's fundraising "I love running and I love London, combine that with my first hand experience of how tough it can be to get the right support for children with special education needs, and it makes sense to run through London while raising money for a service like IPSEA, which provides much needed support and help to families navigate a complex and stressful education system." ~ Martin Pearce, 2025 IPSEA runner Support Martin's fundraising "Having family and friends who have experienced this battle to get the right education for their children, I am passionate about doing all I can to raise money for a charity doing such important work." ~ Jo Lee, 2025 IPSEA runner Support Jo's fundraising Madeleine Cassidy, IPSEA's Chief Executive, said: Support Team IPSEA Our 2025 team are already training hard and fundraising in the run-up to the day.
