Partnership packages

IPSEA can offer a range of services to organisations, such as specialist schools/colleges and charities to help them deal with the complexities of special needs education and assist their parents and carers to get the best support from the local authority.

For organisations interested in receiving ongoing support from IPSEA, we can put together a bespoke package of services, working with you in partnership for an agreed length of time.

The partnership package would be designed around your needs, but examples of services IPSEA can provide include:

Advisory services

Our advisory service gives parents, staff and other professionals involved in the cases of children and young people access to legally based advice about law, practice and policy relating to the education and training of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

You will be allocated a dedicated member (or members) of IPSEA’s legal team to respond to your queries via a dedicated email address. Find out more about this service here.

Consultancy services

IPSEA offer a bespoke consultancy service. Such a service might be appropriate for those seeking clarification of the law in relation to a particular parent's situation, or it may be that you require more general advice to help improve the support you give to parents and young people.

The consultancy service is provided by IPSEA’s legal team and is via email or telephone. Learn more about our consultancy service here.

Face to face SEND training

IPSEA’s face to face training courses have been devised and are delivered specifically for professionals advising and supporting parents and young people.

Delivered by IPSEA’s legal team, they are an opportunity for your staff to explore key issues in SEND law in the context of your role and your organisation. Learn more about our face to face training here.

Online training

IPSEA’s three-tier online training covers the SEN legal framework, the duties on local authorities, schools and further education institutions, Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans, mediation and the SEND tribunal, disability discrimination, exclusions, annual reviews, introduction to social care and health care law, home to school transport and mental capacity. Learn more about our online training here.

Briefings on SEND law

We provide termly briefings on SEND law of interest to both parents and professionals. You may publish these updates on your website or send out via newsletters. Find out more about this service here.

IPSEA’s SEND Legal Resources website

IPSEA’s SEND Legal Resources website provides information on relevant legislation, guidance, case law decisions and legal briefings – all regularly updated to reflect developments in the law.

The fee for our partnership packages is calculated depending on your requirements. Please contact our Fundraising and Communications Manager, Susan Curtis, by email on [email protected] or by telephone on 01799 582030 if you would like to discuss using this service.
