Volunteers needed!

We are looking for volunteers to work on our Advice Line, Tribunal Support Service and Tribunal Help line

We are particularly looking for volunteers from the north, midlands, south west and the south

There is a robust recruitment process followed by an 11 module online training programme, a written exercise and a 2 day training weekend at the end of April.

Demand for our volunteer roles is great, so please fill in your application as fully as possible, taking special note of the job description for guidance.

2 references will be requested. Please chose referees that you know will respond promptly, as if you are successful, you cannot start until the references have been received

Our recruitment period is open from Monday 15 January to Friday 26 January.

Shortlisting will be on Monday Jan 29

Telephone interviews are on 5, 6, 7 Feb. If successful, and references are satisfactory, the online training can start straight away,

Please note, training is intensive and costly. Please ensure you read our volunteer agreement in order to ensure you are fully aware of out terms and conditions.

Volunteering at IPSEA is a hugely rewarding experience due to the number of families we are able to support. As our work is centred around the SEND legal framework, our recruitment process and training has to be very robust. Please do not let this put you off!

Our Tribunal Helpline Gives next step advice on SEN appeals and disability discrimination claims to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal. Face to Face Advice

IPSEA is now able to offer free and independent legally based SEN advice at Face to Face sessions organised in conjunction with the Pen Green Centre for children and families (pengreen.org).
