Your impact

By law, children with special educational needs and disabilities are entitled to educational support that meets their individual needs. But all too often, children and young people are not receiving the special educational provision that they are legally entitled to.

By signing up to run the London Marathon for IPSEA, you'll be raising vital funds to help us support families. Our services bring direct benefits for children and young people with SEND including:

  • Securing a place at the most appropriate school to meet a child’s individual needs
  • Securing additional support at school to meet a child’s individual needs
  • Guaranteeing that children’s needs are properly assessed
  • Bringing successful appeals to the SEND Tribunal
  • Resolving unlawful exclusions from school
  • Ensuring that children out of school receive suitable alternative education

Accessibility

The London Marathon welcomes the use of standard day chairs/wheelchairs and race runners in the mass participation event. Free places for guides/support runners are issued for visually impaired runners.
