Join team IPSEA for the London Legal Walk 2022

Join team IPSEA on the evening of Tuesday 28th June at this year’s London Legal Walk. Be a part of our incredible team of staff, volunteers and supporters as we raise essential funds for our advice and support services.

We’re asking walkers in our team to raise at least £50 each to support children and young people with SEND, and every penny raised will go to IPSEA. The route is around 10km in picturesque central London, and we’ll be with you every step of the way. Over 10,000 people from over 400 teams across the legal world will be attending the walk and street party, supporting a variety of causes – it’s not to be missed!

Not in London? Take on a 10km walk in your local area and we’ll send you a t-shirt to be a part of the team too.

Register now and we’ll be in touch soon

What is the London Legal Walk?

For 18 years the London Legal Walk has been bringing together the legal community to stand up for frontline free legal advice services. On the day, the IPSEA team will be meeting between 4pm and 5.30pm, but we’ll confirm the exact meeting time and place with you in due course. You are also more than welcome to start the walk before or after us (between 3pm and 7pm).

The 10km walk concludes with a street party on Carey Street with street food vendors, fire jugglers, musicians and a complimentary drink in the Knights Templar or Law Society bars. The street party will close and the event will finish at 10pm.

Supporting children and young people with SEND

IPSEA are amazing, I owe them so much. Their support was amazing – all the way through to winning the tribunal for my son’s preferred school. I just can’t thank you guys enough.

All funds raised by our team will go towards our work at IPSEA. We do what we do because children and young people with SEND are legally entitled to the right education.

Providing the right educational support to meet a child’s individual needs is life-changing.

The struggle facing thousands of families of children and young people with SEND can take years to resolve and often has a devastating effect on children and their families, so the advice and support we provide is vital.

We’re asking each walker to aim to raise at least £50 for IPSEA with their challenge.

Not in London?

IPSEA supports families across England and many of our staff, volunteers and supporters aren’t based in London.

If you want to take on your own walk in your local area to raise money for IPSEA, we’ll make sure you feel a part of our team by sending you an IPSEA t-shirt and lots of fundraising tips.

There are also other Legal Walks organised across England that you can take part in – check them out here. Please get in touch if you would like to take part in one for IPSEA.
