Free SEND law training: Essex residents

Thanks to a grant from The Ark Centre, we are pleased to be offering two of our one-day SEND law training courses for free to parents and carers of children with SEND who are residents of Essex.

What training is available?

SEND law and young people (post-16), Monday 29th November: this one-day training is designed specifically for parents, carers and supporting family members of children who are approaching being above, or already above, compulsory school age. The content will be particularly relevant to those who are navigating post-16 education and training for the first time, as well as those who want to refresh their knowledge or gain a greater understanding of the law.

Introduction to SEND law, Tuesday 14th December: our Introduction to SEND law training has been designed specifically for parents and carers and aims to give a practical understanding of the law, enabling families to use it to secure the education that their child is legally entitled to.

How do I book?

If you are a resident of Essex and would like to take advantage of this free training, please book via the buttons below.

Once we receive your booking, we will email you to request evidence of your address, for example: utility or council tax bill, bank statement, drivers license etc.

In the event that these sessions are over subscribed, priority will be given to those on a low income, particularly those in receipt of benefits and tax credit (proof will be required).

If you have any questions about this training please do not hesitate to contact our Training Coordinator on [email protected].
