EHC plan masterclass - obtaining a plan: 15th July

This one day training is designed specifically for parents, carers and supporting family members of
children with special educational needs and disabilities, and has been developed to guide families
through the process of obtaining an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan.

From requesting an EHC needs assessment, through to the information a plan should contain and what to do if you’re not happy with the final plan, this training session will help you navigate the system, supporting you to make informed and positive decisions regarding your child’s education and getting the right plan in place.

This training day covers:

• How to obtain an EHC plan
• What should an EHC plan look like?
• What information should a plan contain?
• What to do if you're not happy with an EHC plan
• How to appeal to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal

This training relates to the law as it applies in England.

Duration: 5.5 hours (10.00 - 15.30, including breaks and Q&A)

Format: delivered virtually via Zoom
