IPSEA Parent Surveys

We carry out two surveys each year for parents and carers who have used our services. They are asked to spend a few minutes answering 10 questions on-line. Here are the results from the survey we ran in October / November 2011. We had even more responses than in our previous survey!

97% of those who used our services will recommend IPSEA to other parents

95% of those who used our services said IPSEA offers excellent services

93% of those who have used our services said IPSEA has helped them understand their legal rights

91% of those who have used our services said IPSEA's advice / support made a difference to their child's educational provision

84% of callers had already looked at IPSEA's on-line resources before contacting us

76% of callers don't know where else they could get free and independent SEN advice like IPSEA's

59% of parents got through first time they called one of our help lines

When describing the difference that IPSEA's advice had made to their child:

29% gave examples of the additional educational support IPSEA's advice had secured for their child
34% said that IPSEA's advice helped them win what their child needed
38% said IPSEA's advice gave them the confidence to keep pressing for their child’s educational needs to be met

Our previous survey was run in Spring 2011. Here are some statistics from that survey:

96% said they would recommend IPSEA to other parents

94% said that their child's situation had been significantly improved thanks to IPSEA

75% said that they did not know of another organisation that could have given them free and independent advice

56% of people received advice the first time they rang
