IPSEA’s Advice Line is our “front line” service for parents – it is the number to call with any question or problem you have concerning your child’s education. This line is covered by 1 or 2 trained volunteers so you may have to ring again if they are busy. Please do not call this number if you are in a Tribunal situation as we have a dedicated tribunal help line.

The current top 5 issues being raised on the Advice Line are:

1. Home/school transport
2. Proposed statements
3. Failure to provide support on SA or SA+
4. Exclusion – especially informal exclusion
5. Lack of LEA funding for SEN

You can find advice on all these issues in our "What you need to know" and "How to Take Action" pages.

You are encouraged to call the Advice Line as often as you need to.
