Advice Line

Ring 0800 018 4016 during opening hours:

Our Advice Line is closed from 18th August to give our wonderful volunteers (and the staff who support them) a well-earned break. The line will re-open on 1st September.

IPSEA's Advice Line - please read before calling:

IPSEA's 0800 Advice Line is covered by 1 or 2 volunteers working from their own homes. If the line is engaged, our volunteers are busy taking calls. Please try calling again later. It is easier to get through during the afternoon and evening sessions. Please feel free to call the Advice Line as often as you need to.

There is no answerphone service for this Advice Line. If you do hear an answerphone message it will be a volunteer's home voicemail. Please do not leave a message as they will not be able to return your call. Some mobile phone providers charge for 0800 numbers. If this is the case you can call our Advice Line via 01799 526771.
The current top 5 issues being raised on the Advice Line are: Home/School transport, proposed Statements, failure to provide support at school, exclusion (especially informal exclusion) and lack of Local Authority funding for SEN. You can find advice on all of these issues in "What you need to know" and "How to Take Action":

IPSEA has a dedicated tribunal help line that you should call if you are appealing. Our Advice Line cannot provide advice or support regarding Tribunal appeals.
